The headline "typical sold price" is the median over the stated recent window (12, 24 or 36 months - shown next to the figure), not all years. A year, window or filtered set needs at least 3 recorded sales before we state a median for it.
- Total sales
- A straight count of the standard sales recorded in Northolt, with the dates of the first and most recent.
- Lowest / highest sale
- The single lowest and highest individual sale prices recorded in Northolt in any year - two transactions, not a typical range.
- Trend (% change)
- We compare the median sold price in Northolt's earliest year with at least 10 recorded sales against its most recent complete such year - a median-on-median comparison, so a handful of extreme sales cannot move it. Years with fewer than 10 sales are skipped, and the current calendar year is excluded because its registrations are still arriving.
- Year-on-year change

- Price bands over time
- Each column splits one year's standard sales across fixed price bands chosen from Northolt's own all-time distribution, so sales migrating up through unchanged bands is the story the chart shows. Years with fewer than 10 sales are gaps; the current year is flagged year to date.
- Comparison with England and Wales
- The town line is the yearly median of recorded standard sales; the national line is the UK House Price Index for England and Wales (HM Land Registry / ONS). Both are re-based to 100 at the first year with at least 10 recorded local sales and a complete national year, so they can share one axis. - Average monthly private rents from the ONS Price Index of Private Rents for the local authority covering Northolt.
